Larry Buster – Board Chair

B.S., Petroleum Engineering, Texas A&M University

Larry retired in 2015 from a twenty-eight year career in oil and gas exploration.  He lived and/or worked in six continents during his varied career. Larry moved to Niwot after retirement with his wife Donna and son Hayden who is a student at TGS.

When not serving on the Board, Larry can be found perusing his passions that include woodworking, flying, cycling and taking walks with Donna, Hayden and their yellow Labrador, Sassy.

Jason M. Lynch – Board Member

B.A. (Hon.), Political Science, Columbia College, Columbia University
J.D., Columbia Law School

Professionally, Jason has practiced law for more than 16 years and serves as the General Counsel of Foundry Group, a Boulder-based venture capital firm that invests in technology companies throughout the U.S. and Canada. He also is active in pro bono matters that seek broad social or community impact. Jason lives in Louisville with his wife and two children, one of whom is a student at TGS.

David Hazen – Board Member

M.A., Educational Administration, University of Phoenix
B.A., Theater, Eckerd College

David retired in 2009 from a twenty-five plus year career in education that included being a Principal at two different schools. One year laterhe came out of retirement to be Director of Bridge School. Along with Jen Wilger, he helped transition the Bridge School program to the Temple Grandin School.
When he’s not serving on the Board he can be found at the dog park with his blonde Border Collie, Cali, or officiating weddings. To continue to get his hands dirty in education, he is a member of Boulder Valley Education Association, Retired, which sometimes finds him lobbying at the State Capitol. He also enjoys teaching the MELT Method.
He has been happily married to Donna for twenty-six years; they love spending time with their two grandchildren, attending plays at the DCPA and going to concerts.

David Millage – Board Member

David is the Vice President of Education at Boulder robotics maker Sphero Inc. At Sphero, David works with a team of technologists and teachers to bring robotic toys to life through play and creative expression. Sphero’s robots are used in thousands of schools worldwide to help teach kids skills that range from problem solving to programming.  David lives in Arvada with his wife Katy and three boys Makai, Murphy, Munro and their dog Ernie.

Anya Mullen – Board Member

M.S. Mechanical Engineering, CU Denver

Anya has worked as a mechanical engineer for over a decade and earned her professional engineering license for the state of Colorado. She has been in a variety of fields from aerospace, to transit, to consumer electronics. Her passion for hands-on learning and user-centered design led her to becoming a product manager at Sphero, where she worked with robotic toys that kids love. Anya is also an entrepreneur, having started several companies of her own in the wellness industry. She lives in Lyons and loves spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and rescue pup.

Mark Schwartz – Board Member

B.S. Business Administration, Bryant University

Mark is an experienced business executive with over 20 years of technology leadership experience in strategy and finance. Mark currently serves as the Vice President of Civil Construction Software Systems for Trimble Inc., a technology leader in productivity and engineering solutions for the Construction, Agriculture and Transportation markets. Mark is an avid cyclist who lives in Boulder with his wife and two children and loving Wheaten Terrier, Rosie.
