We recognize that autism spectrum disorders and other neurocognitive differences impact each student and family significantly and uniquely. Treatment and supportive programming may involve one or more professionals from the fields of psychology, psychiatry, speech language pathology, occupational/physical therapy, applied behavior analysis, nutrition, education, social work and more. All of these fields address a broad range of diagnostic categories, and providers may choose to focus their practice on one or more (often related) diagnostic profiles. In order to enhance the likelihood of positive outcomes, we strongly urge parents to seek out providers with a specialization in or experience working with neurodiverse adolescents with strengths and needs similar to their student’s. Through our work in the neurodiversity community as parents, advocates, and most recently, providers of educational and support services for neurodiverse adolescents, we can confidently recommend the following providers for your consideration.
Please contact the providers directly for more specific information about their available openings, fees, and nature of services provided. They will also be able to help you discern whether their specific practice or service will be a good fit for your student and family.
